First Days Rice Pudding
A creamy rice pudding made by simmering rice in whole milk with sugar and vanilla, then garnished with cinnamon.

Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a large saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, whole milk, sugar, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent the rice from sticking.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for about 30-40 minutes or until the rice is tender and the pudding has thickened.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let the pudding cool slightly before serving. Garnish with ground cinnamon.
Prep
- Rinse the rice under cold water at least 1 hour before cooking.
